PRP – PLATELET RICH PLASMA – PRP HAIR LOSS TREATMENT

WHAT IS PRP?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) is an innovative technique in the field of hair restoration, offering a non-surgical alternative to combat hair loss and thinning. This procedure can be performed either alongside a hair restoration process or as a standalone treatment, taking approximately 45 minutes.

Derived naturally from your own blood, PRP is a safe procedure with no risk of rejection or downtime. Technological advancements now allow us to extract five times the growth factors found in the patient's whole blood by centrifuging it.

Suitable for both men and women dealing with hair loss and thinning, PRP brings benefits such as increased hair density, reduced shedding, and the reversal of miniaturization.

HOW IS HAIR PRP TREATMENT PERFORMED?

PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma) serves as a non-surgical alternative to combat hair loss, offering a noninvasive procedure lasting around 45 minutes to an hour.

The treatment involves drawing a small amount of blood, which is then centrifuged for 14 minutes. Simultaneously, the scalp is disinfected, a topical numbing cream is applied, and a derma-roller is used.

After separating platelets and growth factors, a fine needle, similar in size to a Botox® needle, injects these growth factors into the thinning areas of the scalp. A subsequent session should be scheduled 6 to 8 weeks apart from the initial one.
